Shockwave therapy (ESWT) results in joint pain alleviation, improved tissue metabolism and disappearance of edema.
The mechanism of ESWT method involves the delivery of infrasound acoustic waves generated by a special certified device (AWT, Storz Switzerland) to the affected tissues, destroying microscopic calcium crystals that disrupt the correct structure and cause joint pain, significantly improving blood circulation and activating recovery processes.
